Our Giving Page

Over the last eleven years, APRI has been at the forefront of developing many new and innovative programs that enrich the lives of children with autism and help them reach their highest potential.

During our last fiscal year, APRI provided workshops and trainings to staff in public schools across the state.  Countless teachers, speech pathologists, occupational therapists, teacher assistants, social workers, school psychologists, home-based workers, principals and parents participated in our trainings.  Consultations were provided to individual students and to programs across the state.  To date the Autism Project has provided consultation services to over 90% of the school systems in Rhode Island.

None of this is possible without your help.

We are grateful for all donations for they help us continue to work to our mission of creating a comprehensive set of services for children and adults with autism. Thank you for your generosity and support. Here are a variety of ways for you to be an important part of the solution.

Gifts from Your IRA

Use your IRA funds to make a donation.

Thanks to a deadline extension to the recently enacted Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008, if you are 70-and-a-half years or older, you have until the end of 2009 to use your IRA funds to make charitable gifts without the amount of the gift counting as a taxable distribution. To qualify, you must be 70-and-a-half or older and transfer your funds directly from your IRA accounts to the charity. Qualifying gifts are limited to $100,000 per year, and gifts do not generate a federal income-tax deduction. For more information contact your financial advisor.

Host a Fund Raiser

Host a team for the Imagine Walk

Shaw’s Receipt Rewards Program

The Autism Project of RI is currently participating in Shaw’s Rewards Program. To help raise funds for the Autism Project: collect all of your Shaw’s Supermarkets or Star Markets receipts and send them to The Autism Project, attention Jill Norwood and we will receive 1% of each receipt. There is no limit to the number of receipts we may collect and submit. Ask your friends, what a simple way to raise the much needed funds to support our programs!

 

Fence Depot

Fence Depot will also be donating a percentage of their new fence sales to anyone who mentions the Autism Project of Rhode Island. To qualify for the donation the purchaser

The Autism Project of Rhode Ephraim Domato Jewelers: December 10, 2008 Pandora™ Jewelry Sale
